Doniford Bay Holiday Park Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before you book your seaside escape.

Booking & Payment

How do I book? +

Choose your break type (Midweek Mon-Fri, or Weekend Fri-Mon) on the booking page, tap an available date in the calendar, fill in your details and submit. We confirm by email with everything you need.

How much is the booking fee? +

A 25% non-refundable booking fee secures your dates. It is calculated on the holiday cost plus the cleaning deposit, with the balance paid before arrival. Haven Play Passes are not included, because we do not sell them.

Is the booking fee refundable? +

No. The booking fee is non-refundable, as it secures your dates and takes them off sale for other guests. We strongly recommend taking out your own holiday insurance.

How do I pay? +

The booking fee is payable online by PayPal, debit card or credit card. The remaining balance is then paid by bank transfer direct to us as the private owners, using the details we send you.

When is the balance due? +

Balances are due up to 30 days before the start of your break. If your holiday is within the next 30 days, the full balance is immediately payable, so please pay on receiving the bank details for final payment after you have secured your dates with the booking fee.

Can I use a voucher code? +

Yes. If you have a voucher, enter it on the booking page and tap Apply. Discounts apply to the holiday cost only, never to the booking fee.

Cleaning Deposit

What is the cleaning deposit? +

A refundable £50 cleaning deposit is taken with your balance. It is not a cleaning fee; it is held against the condition of the caravan.

When is it refunded? +

The £50 cleaning deposit is refunded to you, usually within 10 days of your stay, provided there are no breakages, forgotten dishes, damage or excessive mess.

What might be deducted? +

Deductions are only made for breakages, damage, washing-up left undone, or the caravan being left in an excessive mess that needs extra cleaning. Normal, reasonable use is absolutely fine.

Site Facility Passes

Do I need Haven Play Passes? +

No. They are entirely optional and plenty of our guests never buy them. The beach, Doniford Farm, the arcade, the restaurants, the bars, the takeaways and the play parks are all open to you without one. A pass only unlocks the swimming pools, the live entertainment and bookable activities. Crazy golf and the go-karts are pay-per-go, but you do not need a pass for those either.

Do you sell passes? +

No, and we take no money for them. You buy Play Passes direct from Haven. Once you have booked with us, we register your party with Haven; Haven then email you a confirmation code. If you want passes, click the link in that email and buy them straight from Haven. Keep that email safe, you will need it to collect your passes when you arrive.

How much are Haven Play Passes? +

Haven's prices, per person, for the whole stay. Off-peak: £53 adult, £26 child. Peak: £86 adult, £41 child. Peak periods follow the school holidays and bank holidays. If your stay straddles both, Haven charge the rate for whichever season most of your nights fall in. There is a calculator on our homepage that works it out for you.

What ages need a pass? +

An adult pass covers guests aged 16 and over. A child pass covers ages 5 to 15. Under-5s need no pass and are free, but they must always be with an adult who has one in order to use the pools and the entertainment.

What do passes cost? +

They are Haven's prices, not ours, and they vary by season and by the age of each guest. Rather than quote a figure that might be out of date, our pass calculator works out exactly what Haven would charge your party for your dates.

When should I buy passes? +

Early. Passes are subject to availability and are non-refundable, even if you later decide you do not need them. Activity and restaurant bookings open 12 weeks before your holiday, and swimming sessions open 4 weeks before arrival. If you buy after those windows open, Haven cannot guarantee availability.

The number of passes I can buy looks wrong +

You can only buy passes for the guests we have registered with Haven. If the number looks wrong, get in touch and we will update your booking details with them. You can check what you should be seeing with our pass calculator.

The Caravan

How many people does it sleep? +

Up to eight. The three bedrooms sleep six: two twin rooms with single beds and a master bedroom with a good-sized double. A pull-out double sofa bed in the lounge sleeps a further two.

Is there an en suite? +

No. There is a shower room with a toilet and basin, plus a second toilet in a room of its own, so nobody has to queue in the mornings.

What is provided? +

Full kitchen facilities including a microwave, pots, pans, cookware, crockery, glasses, and cutlery (knives, forks and spoons), plus an open-plan lounge, a shower room with a toilet and basin and a second toilet in a room of its own, free Wi-Fi throughout and a smart TV with plenty of free streaming apps including BBC iPlayer, with lots of thoughtful extras.

Can I bring my dog or any pet? +

No pets are allowed under any circumstances. The caravan is strictly no-pets, for dogs and all other animals alike, so that guests with allergies can stay comfortably.

Is parking included? +

Yes, free on-site parking is included in your price.

What are the arrival and departure times? +

Site access is from 2pm and access to the caravan itself is from 4pm on your arrival day. On departure day, please leave the caravan by 10am; site departure is by 12 noon.

Is smoking allowed? +

No. The caravan is strictly no smoking and no vaping throughout, for the comfort and safety of all guests.

The Park & Area

Which park is the caravan on? +

Doniford Beach is on the doorstep, with Watchet Harbour, the West Somerset Railway, Dunster Castle, Minehead Beach, Doniford Bay Farm and Exmoor National Park all close by. See our Things to do page for plenty of ideas.

Is the caravan privately owned? +
